  Court restrains Spears' manager

Spears was taken to hospital last week A Los Angeles judge has issued a restraining order against Britney Spears' manager, after her mother made the request to the court. Lynne Spears claimed Sam Lutfi, 33, had drugged the troubled pop star and interfered with her finances. In a six-page declaration, Lynne Spears said Mr Lutfi "moved into Britney's home and has purported to take control of her life, home and finances". The restraining order forbids Mr Lutfi from contacting Ms Spears in any way. Lynne Spears also claimed that Mr Lutfi had drugged her daughter, disconnected her home phone line and removed her mobile phone chargers since meeting her last October. "He yells at her," claimed the singer's mother in a section of the order detailing previous harassment. 'Big fight' "He claims to control everything - Britney's business manager, her attorneys and the security guards at the gate." Lynne Spears said Mr Lutfi had taken control of her daughter's life Lynne Spears also claimed Mr Lutfi exerted control the paparazzi who had been pursuing her daughter. Her declaration focused on the night of 28 January, a few days before the Grammy-winning superstar was admitted to hospital for a mental evaluation. Accompanied by her husband and a friend, Lynne Spears had attempted to gain access to her daughter's home but was denied access by security guards. Once inside, she claimed, she found several photographers in the house, and her daughter confused and crying after "a big fight" with Mr Lutfi, who appeared in control of the situation. A psychiatrist has been appointed by the judge to determine if the 26-year-old singer is capable of understanding the legal proceedings concerning her.
